Hello,
As you may know, McGill’s analog telephone system is being replaced by a modern internet-based system provided by Cisco Webex technology which allows you to answer and initiate calls from your office phone number wherever you may be working -- home, office, or mobile device.

What is happening and when
On September 7th the new telephone system will be deployed to 2001 McGill University.
On the day of your migration, follow the instructions below to begin using your new telephone system to make and receive phone calls.
Installation and setup
[Cisco 532 Headset - Yotta Connect LLC]
Webex softphone (using a headset)
On September 7th, between 7-8am, you will receive an email, from IT Announcements, confirming that your telephone number is activated in the new system. After you receive this confirmation, proceed with the information below.

Physical desk phone
Starting on September 2nd through September 7th., an IT technician will install a phone at your desk. After you receive your new phone along with a confirmation that your telephone number is activated, then proceed with the information below.

3. Make a phone call

Important:
* No need to dial “9” for external calls.
* Always dial the full 10 digits (514-398-xxxx) similar to using a regular external telephone.
* The old Meridian telephone will be disconnected and will no longer be functional, and any voicemail. recordings in the old system will no longer be accessible.
* Do not use Webex to collect payment card information.
