FULL-TIME POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW: We are seeking a full-time postdoctoral
researcher experienced in the analysis of genetic, structural, or
functional magnetic resonance imaging data to work on a 1-year
NIH-funded data analysis project examining sex differences in the
development of psychopathology in children, adolescents, and young
adults. Activities will include cognitive, genetic, and neuroimaging
data processing, cleaning and quality control, and collaborative data
analysis. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in statistics, computer
science, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field. The
postdoctoral fellow will engage in analyzing and integrating multimodal
clinical, cognitive, genetic, and neuroimaging data of 10,000 children,
adolescents, and young adults. This fellow will also work
collaboratively with a neuroimaging research assistant and supervise
graduate students in the School of Medicine and the Department of
Statistics who will assist in processing and analysis of the data.
Finally, the postdoctoral fellow will assist with the preparation of
manuscripts, progress reports, and future grant submissions related to
this project. Work will be carried out with a team of interdisciplinary
investigators at Stanford University, led by PI Manpreet Singh, M.D.
(Child and Adolescent Psychiatry), and under the direct supervision of
Lester Mackey, Ph.D. (Statistics), Joachim Hallmayer, M.D. (Psychiatric
Genetics), and Ian Gotlib, Ph.D. (Psychology). The Stanford Department
of Psychiatry seeks to recruit and retain a diverse workforce as a
reflection of our strong commitment to the twin goals of achievement of
excellence and diversity among faculty, trainees, and staff. We are thus
interested in candidates who are committed to the highest standards of
scholarship and professional activities, and to the development of a
climate that supports equality and diversity. Please send a cover
letter, CV and two letters of recommendation to _mksingh(a)stanford.edu

He seemed like a very capable candidate technically. I also admired his
intellectual curiosity and his eagerness to dedicate his life to the
aide of others (in the medical domain).
