The University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC), located in
Fort Worth, TX, is looking for a post-doctoral associate to work on an
R01 study (R01 AA 019511, Project INTEGRATE). Project INTEGRATE is a
large-scale data integration and synthesis project aimed at providing
the evidence of comparative effectiveness among competing brief alcohol
interventions for adolescents and young adults. We employ advanced
computational approaches to integrate, harmonize, standardize, and
combine individual participant data from heterogeneous trials. We are
particularly interested in candidates with experience in developing and
evaluating alcohol interventions, SPSS/SAS/R/Mplus programming, latent
variable modeling, multilevel modeling, integrative data analysis, or
meta-analysis.
The post-doctoral associate will primarily work with Dr. E.-Y. Mun but
will have the opportunity to work with a large interdisciplinary team of
experts. Individuals with training in clinical or health psychology,
prevention research, quantitative psychology, biostatistics, or related
areas are encouraged to apply. The start date is flexible but should be
no later than February of 2021, with the possibility of remote work
through 2021. The postdoc associate will have access to funds to support
external trainings and conferences. The fellow may also take additional
coursework/seminars at HSC in grant writing, intervention theory/design,
community-based participatory research, addictive behaviors, and
advanced statistical techniques.
Applicants should have (or anticipate having) a Ph.D. before starting.
The salary is based on the NIH guidelines and the candidate’s level of

Quantitative Psychologist (Visiting Assistant Professor)
The Department of Psychology, at The Ohio State University seeks a
quantitative psychologist or scholar with related training to join our
nationally recognized program in quantitative psychology as a Visiting
Assistant Professor of Psychology, commencing Spring semester, January 2021.
The Visiting Assistant Professor is expected to contribute to the behavioral
science methodology literature as well as have the potential to make
significant contributions in other substantive areas (neuroscience,
cognitive, clinical, developmental, social and decision psychology, and
Intellectual Developmental Disabilities). In addition, the candidate would
contribute to the service mission of the quantitative psychology program by
teaching required methodology and elective courses at both the graduate and
the undergraduate levels. Initial appointment is for one year, with
possibility of renewal for up to a total of three years.
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. in quantitative psychology or a related
field. Expertise in quantitative psychology and the ability to teach
effectively at the undergraduate level, and ability to teach psychology
courses is desired. The successful candidate should be a specialist in
one or
more of the following: statistical modeling of measurement-related research
topics (e.g., factor analysis, structural equation modeling, item response
theory), psychometrics and psychological testing (e.g., measurement theories
and test construction, reliability and precision of measurement, types of
validity, test norming, test and item bias), methods for longitudinal and
time-series models (e.g., mixed models, mixture models, and dynamical system
models), or Bayesian modeling. Candidates who can also enrich and
contribute,
through their teaching, to the diversity of our academic community are
encouraged to apply.
