The Clinical Psychology program in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (http://www.psych.umass.edu) invites applications for the Director of our in-house training clinic, the Psychological Services Center (PSC; http://www.umass.edu/psc/). The PSC Director will operate an active service-delivery facility that (a) provides clients with the best currently available evidence-based services, (b) generates practice-based evidence via routine outcomes monitoring, and (c) uses the patient database to inform responsive practice, enhance training in psychosocial service delivery, and produce novel research. The appointment is for a faculty position (Lecturer/non-tenure track) that includes 50% effort teaching in the clinical science PhD program and 50% effort in administration. Teaching
allocat
ion includes clinical supervision of clinical psychology doctoral students, as well as one course per year.
We seek an outstanding candidate to provide leadership in the PSC and to teach and supervise students in a manner consistent with our program’s APA accredited clinical science mission. This candidate must be able to facilitate both the clinical and research mission of the PSC. Strong administrative and financial management skills are essential. The successful candidate should have demonstrated a commitment to fostering cultural sensitivity and promoting an inclusive environment. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology or a related discipline and must have the requisite credentials for licensure as a psychologist and as a health service provider in Massachusetts.
The candidate will be an integral member of a diverse and productive faculty in clinical psychology, whose current members engage in basic and/or applied studies of psychopathology, human development, emotion, cognition, psychotherapy, neuropsychology, and family relations. Candidates who have clinical expertise with children, families, and adults will be preferred. Expertise in clinical neuropsychology is highly desirable.
