Queen’s

invites
applications

a position
in
the area
of fMRI systems
neuroimaging
from outstanding
scientists
with passion, energy, and a
strong
vision
for
innovative
transdisciplinary
research
and education. This
is
a tenure-track
appointment
at the
rank
of Assistant
or
Associate
Professor,
with a
preferred
starting
date
of
2015/16.
The successful
candidate
will join the
interdisciplinary Centre for
Neuroscience Studies (http://neuroscience.queensu.ca/)
and hold a
joint
appointment in
the Department
of
Biomedical
and
Molecular
Sciences
and the
Department of Psychology.
Position
Overview
Candidates
must hold a PhD
or MD/PhD
(or
equivalent).
The
primary criterion
for selection
is demonstrated
academic excellence in the
fields
of cognitive,
sensorimotor and/or related clinical neuroimaging.
The successful
candidate will
be an emerging
leader
in the field with an excellent
record of high quality research productivity, who
demonstrates potential for continued innovative independent
research.
The successful candidate
must have a high-quality research program and a
strong potential to link and build on research concentrations
in the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences and the
Department of Psychology and within the Centre for
Neuroscience Studies. Strong quantitative skills, and
experience with state-of-the-art fMRI analysis methods will
each be an asset.
The candidate will
display a strong interdisciplinary fit
with research being conducted in the host departments and
the Centre for Neuroscience Studies, as well as strong
potential
for
outstanding neuroscience teaching
contributions (e.g., methods in
brain imaging, cognitive or sensorimotor neuroscience). Salary
is commensurate
with
qualifications
and experience.
The successful candidate will have access
to the Queen’s fMRI Facility
as well as
the
High Performance
Computing
Virtual
Laboratory.
Appointments
are
subject to
review and
final
approval
by the Provost.
Review

June 1, 2015 and continue until the position is
filled. Interviews will commence shortly
thereafter with a flexible start date in
2015/16.
