The Clinical Psychology program in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina Greensboro (http://psy.uncg.edu) invites applications for the position # 980 Academic Professional/Director of the UNCG Psychology Clinic (http://psy.uncg.edu/clinic/).  The Clinic Director oversees the operation of a community mental health clinic that serves as the main practicum site for our APA accredited Ph.D. clinical psychology program and provides evidenced-based services to a diverse population in the Piedmont Triad area.  The UNCG Psychology Clinic offers assessment and outpatient treatment services (individual, group, family) across the age range with a focus on culturally competent care.  The director is responsible for (a) overseeing the clinicâs operation, (b) developing and maintaining vibrant community relations, and (c) serving as a leader in training students.  The Director works in collaboration with the clinical faculty supervisors, administrative staff members, and approximately 20 graduate student therapists. The Director also has the opportunity to consult and collaborate with faculty on specific projects of overlapping clinical interests, such as depression treatment and research, culturally competent care for underserved populations, and chronic and severe mental illness.  This 3-year appointment is a 12-month faculty position (academic professional non-tenure track) that includes both administrative and teaching roles in the clinical Ph.D. program.  Teaching allocation can include clinical supervision of practicum students.  The position reports to the Head of the Psychology Department .

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology or a related discipline and must have the requisite credentials for licensure as a psychologist and as a health service provider in North Carolina.  Prior training and experience with empirically supported practices and a commitment to the scientist-practitioner model is required.  Strong administrative and financial management skills are essential.  Preference will be given to candidates with supervisory experience and expertise in evidence-based assessment and intervention for both children and adults.  The successful candidate should have demonstrated a commitment to fostering cultural sensitivity and promoting an inclusive environment. The candidate will be an integral member of a diverse and productive faculty in clinical psychology.
