Dear SMEP Colleagues,

I look forward to seeing those of you who will be converging on Albuquerque
later this week.  I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the
current faculty searches at Georgia State described below…

Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA, is seeking to fill two faculty
positions as part of a new interdisciplinary initiative focused on the
development and advancement of the quantitative and statistical sciences
applied in social, behavioral, educational, policy, health, biomedical, and
communications research.  The university-wide initiative in the quantitative
and statistical sciences (Quest) is part of Georgia State’s Next Generation
Faculty Program.  A primary aim of the Quest initiative is to elevate the
scholarly reputation of Georgia State by establishing a compelling
quantitative methods infrastructure, a coherent research portfolio, and
comprehensive graduate student and junior faculty training activities in
quantitative methods.

Position 1:  Tenured or tenure-track Associate or Full Professor of
Quantitative Methodology

Position 2: Non-tenure-track Assistant or Associate Research Professor of
Quantitative Methodology

Successful candidates will join a unique, contemporary, multi-disciplinary
faculty at an enterprising R-1 university in the heart of one of the largest
