POST‐DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW IN QUANTITATE PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina
(http://www.psych.sc.edu ), invites applications for a full-time, 12-month
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position in quantitative psychology with an
anticipated start date of August 16, 2016. Beginning and end dates for the
position are flexible, with the possibility of extending the contract for up
to 24 months. The supervisor for this position is Dr. Alberto
Maydeu-Olivares, amaydeu@sc.edu .
This position entails conducting methodological research with faculty and
graduate students in the area of quantitative psychology.  Possible areas of
emphasis include, but are not limited to, structural equation modeling,
multilevel modeling, longitudinal modeling, psychometric theory, item
response theory, and latent class modeling.
For this position, successful candidates must have a PhD by the time of
appointment in psychology, statistics, or related fields, with strong
training in quantitative methods. Preference will be given to candidates with
either programming skills, training in mathematical statistics, or excellent
writing skills.
