Postdoctoral position, 2016-2018, working with Dr. Robert Siegler on children's math learning at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, beginning September 1, 2016. Open to all postdocs with appropriate background. The research will focus on describing the development of mathematical knowledge in children and on generating means for improving learning. Acquisition of knowledge about fractions and decimals are of special interest at present. Candidates should have strong knowledge of cognitive development and/or learning research, research methodology, and statistics, as well as great enthusiasm for doing research. Knowledge of math development research is desirable.
