*JOINT POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT) AT THE * *UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON AND CADENCE CHILD AND ADOLESCENT THERAPY*

Dr. Marsha Linehan at the Behavioral Research and Therapy Clinics at the University of Washington (UW) invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship to begin summer or autumn 2015. The fellow will be appointed as a Research Associate faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the UW and as a postdoctoral fellow at Cadence Child and Adolescent Therapy.

The fellow will receive experience and training in a range of activities which may include: conducting clinical trials, mentoring and supervising students, managing a research and treatment training clinic, teaching seminars, clinical supervision, grant writing and participation in the development of articles for publication. Direct clinical service provision will consist of experience and training in evidence-based therapies including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and may additionally encompass individual cognitive-behavioral therapies, behavioral parent training, and diagnostic evaluations (including autism).

The Behavioral Research and Therapy Clinics (BRTC) is a clinical research and training center based at the University of Washington. Its mission is to develop, evaluate, and disseminate compassionate and scientifically valid treatments for complex, severe, and difficult-to-treat mental disorders and for individuals at high risk of suicide.

Cadence Child and Adolescent Therapy (CHAT) is a private clinical service organization whose mission is to use evidence-based treatments to provide the best possible care for children, adolescents and their families. CCAT provide a wide-range of CBT and DBT services for ages 2 to 25 years old and their families. They also specifically offer comprehensive DBT programing,(individual therapy, multi-family skills classes, consult team meetings, phone coaching).

Applicants must have: (a) a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology by the start date; (b) strong potential for a career in clinically relevant research; and (c) substantial experience with cognitive-behavioral therapy and familiarity with DBT.
