The University of South Carolina (www.sc.edu http://www.sc.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor in the area of quantitative psychology to begin August 16, 2018. Quantitative psychology is an emerging area of strength in the department. Successful candidates will be expected to make significant contributions to scholarship in their area of expertise within quantitative psychology, mentor graduate students specializing in quantitative psychology, and teach quantitative methods courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The position is open to different areas of quantitative expertise, with the expectation that the applicant’s research focus will complement the substantive research strengths of the department, which include child and family research, cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, health disparities, prevention science, and school mental health. The department is seeking applicants with the potential for procuring grant funding and a willingness to collaborate with diverse research teams including both substantive and quantitative researchers. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in quantitative psychology or a related field.
