Full-time Instructor, beginning in August 2017
This is a new position. Instructor is the first step in a promotional ladder that runs parallel to the tenure track and can lead to more advanced ranks, such as Instructor II and Senior Instructor. Primary consideration will be given to candidates who have completed PhD in Psychology at the time of employment and a strong record of effective teaching in Experimental Psychology, with emphasis in developmental and abnormal psychology.
The successful candidate will be required to teach four undergraduate courses in psychology per semester, advise child development majors, and work in contact with the Institute of Child Development (http://child.tcu.edu). Potential courses include:
· General psychology (with and without a lab section) · Child psychology · Abnormal psychology · Courses related to the child development major
